Mobile Web Services (MWS) is a new suite of Personal Identity tokens and services developed, administered, and managed by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). This MobileID Application is issued by NIMC on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and acts as a valid means of identification whenever a Nigerian (or legal resident) is required to present an ID Token. It is essential to verify the MobileID for a complete transaction. Additionally, NIMC is enhancing the design of the National Identification Number (NIN) Slip, which can also be verified using this application.

NIMC collaborates with sister agencies like FIRS, FRSC, JAMB, NAFDAC, NHIS, and other Federal or State Governments that aim to provide eServices to citizens through a secure platform. With the help of the MWS Mobile Ecosystem, the government can instantly connect with tens of millions of citizens worldwide.

If you have a National Identification Number (NIN) issued by NIMC, you are welcome to download this application as a complement or alternative to the physical National Identity Card. This app functions as a state-of-the-art general-multipurpose resource and can serve as a replacement for a physical Polycarbonate Card.
